Coaches, Officials Integral to Special Olympics
Coaches and Officials are integral to the success of Special Olympics. Anyone involved in coaching Special Olympics will tell you the personal rewards are great. They all share the same desire – to help the athletes be the best they can be.
Golf Pro and Special Olympics Coach Bob Gavelek says, “It’s fun. It’s a new aspect of teaching. I learn more from the athletes than they learn from me.”
People with or without prior sports experience can train to be coaches. Educators can earn CEU credits for some classes. Get involved today and Inspire Greatness in athletes as a Special Olympics coach.
